Abstract

This article presents the results of a study done on a stretch of an Inca road at the Zapata Slope, on the interdepartmental border Belen-Tinogasta in the Province of Catamarca, Northwestern Argentina. The work methodology was based on a micromorphological approach aimed at analyzing its construction techniques, the presence of associated sites and its role as one of the main axes of regional interaction between the Inca sites of El Shincal de Quimivil and Watungasta.
