Military and Ceremonial Iconography at El Jazmin, a Rock Art Site in Eastern Michoacan, Mexico José Luis Punzo Díaz, Dante Bernardo Martínez Vázquez, Ricardo Carvajal Medina
Abstract
This article is a research advance on the rock art site of El Jazmin, Michoacan, Mexico.
It is located in the eastern region of the state, which is characterized by being a mountainous area that historically has been the scene of constant war conflicts from pre-Hispanic times to the twentieth century.
We present a first analysis of one of the most interesting panels, because it has a significant load of graphics related to the war.
