Abstract
Spain will never receive a scientific Nobel Prize while it encourages mediocrity, inbreeding and corporatism at the academic level instead of supporting the best researchers. Only the latter are capable of making great discoveries and achieving outstanding scientific advances. Supporting them would benefit everyone and would make Spain respected abroad. Only in this way will it be able to achieve one day that coveted scientific Nobel Prize.
